Bioformulation Development of Bacillus velezensis Strain N1 to Control Rice Bacterial Leaf Blight

چکیده
Bacterial leaf blight is a serious disease of rice caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. (Xoo). The objective this study was to develop bioformulation Bacillus velezensis strain N1 using microencapsulation techniques through spray drying and then evaluate its performance in controlling bacterial under greenhouse conditions. Three formulations with different main carrier were studied the viability after drying, moisture content, characteristic formulation powder scanning electron microscope storage stability examined. results showed that 3 (10 % skimmed milk, 20 maltodextrin, 0.06 sodium alginate 5 tapioca starch) had highest antagonistic 1.24×107 CFU/g. Formulation 2 1.44×106 CFU/g lowest reduction 0.61 Log at room temperature for months. Moisture content each less than 4 %. Among bacteria against Xoo, formula able control index (45.87 %). All indicated can be an effective antagonist could potentially used more successful blight.

Genetic Diversity of Bacterial Leaf Blight Disease in a Set of Rice Landraces of West Bengal
Bacterial Leaf Blight (BLB) is a major disease of rice in tropical monsoon and sub tropical rice growing regions of the world. BLB substantially reduces the yield of the crop affecting food security. Rice is the second most important food crop, after wheat, in the world; hence the disease must be effectively controlled. As chemical control is impractical due to unavailability of specific bacter...
متن کاملLong-term effect of niclosamide on inhibition of bacterial leaf blight in rice
Bacterial leaf blight is one of the major diseases in rice and affects yields. Thus, various methods have been applied to protect rice from this disease. Here, we show systemic translocation of the human drug niclosamide (5-chloro-N-(2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl)2-hydroxybenzamide) in rice and its long-term effect on prevention of rice leaf blight. The development of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae-ind...

Leaf blight caused by Stemphylium solani is a major fungal disease of garlic (Allium sativum) in central China where it has caused severe crop losses during the winter growing season from the end of autumn to the middle of spring. Epidemiology, cultivar resistance, and chemical controls were investigated during the 2006 to 2008 growing seasons in Dangyang County to improve disease control metho...
متن کاملPlant Growth Promotion and Suppression of Bacterial Leaf Blight in Rice by Inoculated Bacteria
The present study was conducted to evaluate the potential of rice rhizosphere associated antagonistic bacteria for growth promotion and disease suppression of bacterial leaf blight (BLB). A total of 811 rhizospheric bacteria were isolated and screened against 3 prevalent strains of BLB pathogen Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) of which five antagonistic bacteria, i.e., Pseudomonas spp. E227,...
